1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for or using the Elevation platform ("Platform", "Service"), you agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not create an account or use the Service. These Terms apply to all users — students, businesses, and any other visitors.

2. The Elevation Platform

Elevation is an online marketplace that connects students seeking work experience and professional tasks with businesses looking to hire talent on a project or task basis. Elevation facilitates the connection but is not a party to any agreement formed between students and businesses through the Platform.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
  • One person or entity may maintain only one account unless expressly permitted by Elevation.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Access to Elevation's core features requires an active paid subscription.

  • Subscription plans and pricing are displayed on the relevant pricing pages before purchase.
  • All prices are stated in AED (UAE Dirhams) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Elevation does not store payment card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are issued at Elevation's discretion in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.

5. Student Accounts

As a student, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful information about your qualifications, skills, and experience.
  • Apply only to tasks you genuinely intend to complete.
  • Communicate professionally with business clients at all times.
  • Complete accepted tasks to the agreed standard and within the agreed timeframe.
  • Not misrepresent your identity or credentials.

6. Business Accounts

As a business, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your company, including verification documents where required.
  • Post only legitimate, lawful tasks or job opportunities.
  • Treat all student applicants fairly and professionally.
  • Honour commitments made to students who accept your tasks.
  • Not post tasks that are discriminatory, illegal, or violate applicable labour laws.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent content.
  • Attempt to bypass security measures or gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or reproduce Platform content without written permission.
  • Circumvent the Platform to conduct transactions directly after first contact through Elevation.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, and software on the Platform are owned by or licensed to Elevation. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent.

By posting content on the Platform (e.g., task descriptions, portfolio items, messages), you grant Elevation a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content as necessary to operate the Service.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Elevation makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding the Platform's reliability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Elevation is not responsible for any agreements, disputes, or outcomes arising between students and businesses. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Elevation's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Elevation in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Account Suspension and Termination

Elevation reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, engages in fraudulent activity, or poses a risk to other users or the Platform. Where possible, we will provide notice before taking such action. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

11. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on the Platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
